Biography

Santiago Bosch was born and raised in Barquisimeto, Venezuela, in 1987. After the first years of his life as a music lover and listener, inspired and influenced by his father, saxophonist Jaime Bosch, he began studying piano at the age of 9. During that time, he received former education in classical music/piano training, but after two years, the weight and influence that jazz, jazz fusion and improvised music had on him since a very early age, made him quit the classical school to dedicate entirely to practice at home by ear, listening to the records of his favorite musicians over and over again. By age 15 he started composing music and also playing professional gigs, participating in album/recordings with diverse artists around the country, an experience that contributed to be a big part of his integral music education.
